Metchosin Grown Society invites community members, local businesses, and partners to support a shared commitment to community well-being, local food security, and hands-on agricultural learning.
We operate the community garden at the Metchosin School Site—an inclusive, volunteer-driven space where people of all ages come together to grow food, build skills, and strengthen connections within our community.
Donations can be made by e-transfer or cheque. Please see details below or contact us at metchosingrown@gmail.com.
As the garden continues to grow, we are undertaking several infrastructure and program improvements to ensure the space remains safe, functional, and resilient.
Current priorities include:
Perimeter fencing and gates
Irrigation system installation and upgrades
Shared tools and equipment
Site improvements and garden expansion
Garden supplies including seeds, plants, and materials
These projects are supported by volunteers, with contributions going directly toward materials and essential costs.
We invite community-minded businesses and individuals to partner with us. Your support helps cultivate not only a thriving garden, but a stronger and more resilient Metchosin—rooted in learning, connection, and the shared joy of growing food together.
